Operations management is an area of management concerned with designing and controlling the process of production and redesigning business operations in the production of goods or services.
The learning targets of this course are that the students understand the role of operations strategy, how
organizations design products, services and processes and how operations
are planned, controlled and developed in a sustainable way. The aim is to be able to recognize and apply operations performance
metrics and improvement approaches such as lean management and to perform production planning and execution processes
in SAP which is an ERP system. Understanding the benefits of using various technologies
such as robotics and IoT in processes and operations will be also discussed.
