CONTENTS
Microbiology
• Structure of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Classification of microbes (bacteria, archae, fungi, algae, protozoa, and parasitic worms). Microbial growth, cultivation and staining techniques of microbes, microscopy, mechanisms of microbial pathogenicity, vector-borne infections. Regulation of bacterial gene expression.
Basics of Biosciences
• Structure, characteristics, and function of biomolecules (lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids). Structure and function of genetic material. Cell cycle, DNA replication, and changes in genetic material. Protein synthesis. Viruses.
LABS
• Basic biochemical and microbiological laboratory operations, e.g. aseptic technique, preparation of culture media, sterilization techniques, centrifugation, and handling of small volumes.
The content of the course focuses on the following topics that will enhance your oral and written communication skills in English:

This 2 ECTS self-paced MOOC deepens your competence in drone navigation, positioning, and autonomous flight from a system-level perspective. You will explore how flight controllers, propulsion components, and onboard sensors work together to enable stable flight, positioning, and autonomous safety functions. The course connects technical decisions to real application scenarios and highlights how operating conditions and regulatory constraints influence safe and effective drone operations.
Learning is based on short focused readings, interactive visuals, scenario tasks, auto-graded quizzes, and simulator-supported practice. By the end of the course, you will be able to evaluate component and sensor choices, reason about flight behaviour, diagnose common technical issues, and produce a justified technical outline as preparation for later hands-on drone building and configuration.

This course deepens the student’s understanding of autonomous mobile robot navigation. The course focuses on localisation, mapping, SLAM, path planning, motion planning, path tracking, and obstacle avoidance. It prepares the student for the following practical course phase, where autonomous mobile robots are studied in simulation and laboratory environments.
