For journal articles give the author’s surname and initials. List the year, followed by a full stop. The title of the article should also follow with a full stop and should not be italicised. The journal title follows the article title and should be italicized and followed with a comma, the article’s volume number, issue/part number (which should be in parentheses), page number(s) and a full stop.

Example of a journal entry showing italics for the journal title, details of volume number, (issue) and page numbers:

Berglund, L., and Andersson, P., 2012. Recognition of knowledge and skills at work: in whose interests? Journal of Workplace Learning, 24(2): 73-84.

Scott, R., 2004. Informal integration: the case of the non-monitored economy. Journal of European Integration Studies, 3 (2), 81-9.
